Magazine Advert Drafts

This was the first draft of our idea for the magazine advert. We used a exclusion effect which turned our white background into a brownish effect. Then we have faded the  around the artist to make it ligher than the background.

In this draft we have decreased the lighting in the picture and kept everything else the same as the picture.








This is the final draft made by me and my partner, firstly we have added the red colour in the middle of      the artists name, which makes it stand out. We also added an colour dodge effect to the picture which has a slightly blue tint around the artist and makes the wall stand out.

Magazine Advert Font Styles

This is the different type of fonts me and my partner came across. We both decided to choose a font which has a graffiti style because the picture we are using it looks like the artist is spraying on the writing. So a graffiti font will make it look more realistic. Through our discussion and feedback from our class mates we have came to a conclusion to use the second style. This is due to the font have drips from the lettering which makes it more realistic when we edit it with the artist.

DigiPak photoshoot

For our Digipak Photoshoot, we have taken a variety of different close up shots of the artist. We have taken most of the shots as a close up because we are trying to sell our artist by having many different images to promote his album. 

Camera Used

The Canon EOS 550D is an 18 megapixel digital single-lens reflex camera, which has many different features including recording HD 1080. My partner and I have used this camera throughout our music video. At first, we have to get use to the features, as it was not as simple to use. However, through some practise my partner and I became more aware of the fascinating features – which we used for our music video.  

One of the reasons why we choose to use this camera was because of the different feature it has provided us, which will be useful for our music video.  One of the features we have used throughout our music video was the focus of the lens. We out focused the background and focused into the artist more, to have a more effective shot.
